John Hattie has demonstrated in repeated meta-analyses that collective efficacy is the number one impact on student achievement (2017). As schools build an understanding about the research around collective efficacy and why it is essential, it is also useful to understand the impact of adverse childhood experiences. In this session, we will explore the issues around ACES and how collective efficacy is critical to addressing this serious issue in our schools.
