About the event

“If schools are to be transformed into learning communities educators ... must embrace ideas and assumptions that are radically different than those that have guided schools in the past. (Dufour & Eaker)” John Hattie’s unprecedented meta-analysis of research studies on student achievement has created a substantial global research base into what actually works best in schools. During this session, we will delve into assumptions around student achievement. Using the the lens of increasing equity and access for students, we will explore Hattie’s meta-analysis research and consider how it might be applied in a practical way to this important work.
