About the event
The achievement gap is a persistent adaptive challenge in education. With collective efficacy comes the adaptive capacity to effectively confront inequity. During this session, we will explore the role of collective efficacy in closing achievement gaps and consider ways in which educators can foster efficacy in pursuit of achieving equitable outcomes and increased student achievement in schools.
Participants will:
- know the effect size research related to collective efficacy;
- be able to identify the positive outcomes of collective efficacy;
- understand how collective efficacy supports efforts to confront inequity;
- develop strategies to foster collective efficacy in their schools/districts.
