Building Consensus

About the event

As we navigate new educational challenges resulting from COVID-19, teachers and leaders need support now more than ever. Uncertainty and unpredictability are potential enemies of efficacy. Collective efficacy has long been recognized as a critical influence on positive work environments, increased team capacity, and student achievement. We know it’s important, but how do we foster collective efficacy with our staff? These webinars are designed to focus on various aspects of building individual and collective efficacy by providing practical strategies. The result is increased effort, motivation, and perseverance in the face of challenges.

Robert Marzano pointed out over ten years ago: “The need for a collaborative goal-setting process has been highlighted by researchers and theorists for at least four decades.” Achieving goal consensus is easier said than done. In this session, we will learn about the Brainstorm-Cluster-Name-Resolve method to build consensus around an important topic.
